Yesterday I wrote about approaching tasks from different angles and viewpoints.
But I realized that I missed an important one which I can thoroughly recommend.
So what is the Overview Effect?
Simply put, it is observing a situation or a task from above. Literally feeling like you are hovering above yourself and just observing what is happening.
Imagine yourself as a bird, a butterfly, a drone, an angel, a ghost, etc.
You are just looking down and watching from above and not using your personal input or feelings on the situation.
It will give you a fantastic different perspective on what is happening or what needs to be done.
Astronauts regularly refer to the overview effect when they have looked back at the planet earth from space. It changes their thinking.
So why not try it next time you are trying to solve a certain task?
