Cessa

It is with unbelievable sadness that I need to inform you all of the passing of my good friend Cessa last Friday.

Cessa was put to sleep after finally losing her battle with kidney disease.

Cessa was a unique case for me as a dog walker. I used to walk her older sister Sophie for many years, until she sadly passed away of old age.

However this meant that I had known Cessa since she was an 8 week old puppy.

I still remember vividly my first meeting with her when I picked up Sophie for a walk. I was met by a curious bundle of love and energy who used her puppy teeth eagerly on my fingers. It would be 6 months until she would come out adventuring with her older sister.

Cessa very much lived two lives. The first of her lives was in the shadow and protection of her older sister, who she loved and looked up to non-stop. However it is fair to say that her true personality, confidence and character came out after Sophie’s passing.

She suddenly needed to fend for herself and this came by adventuring and socializing with the gang. She absolutely blossomed into this role.

I feel unbelievably fortunate to have taken her on two last Adventures during November despite her advancing illness.

My most heartfelt condolences go to her owners, Chloe and HC. I mourn the passing of a great adventure companion.

Over the last 11 years her owners have become good friends, and will very much remain so.

Sophie and Cessa are now reunited and surely on a comfortable sofa looking down on our adventures.
