The Finish Line

Happy Friday and well done on making it to the weekend.

With only one week left until Christmas break there is a strange mixture of feelings.

Like when you are approaching the end of a really good book, or the end of an amazing run, you sort of don’t want it to end.

These last few weeks of dog adventures have been the best of the last few months. The arrival of the snow has made for unbelievably happy and playful dogs. Whilst we fully hope that the snow will still be there in January, we are just having immense amounts of fun out in the woods right now.

In this way it seems such a shame that we only have 5 more walking days of 2024.

And yet the flipside is that with each and every passing week of giving my all to my dogs and adventures, it now feels like the last few kilometers of an ultra marathon.

In this case the Finish Line is a digital detox and spending quality time with my family over the Christmas break.

I will still be out adventuring and exploring in the woods as that is absolutely what I do each and every day regardless.
