The Wet Walking Week

With the arrival of September today it really feels like Autumn and the rainy season has started.

Anyone who has checked the forecast for this coming week will know that it is time to find those waterproofs.

And yet you might think that this somehow dampens morale amongst our Team.

Quite the opposite! We experience first-hand quite how dry Oslomarka has been over these sunny Summer months.

The rain is very much needed. After long periods of walking in the sunshine, it is lovely to get some variation and for the wet conditions to be back.

As you can well imagine the Woods were pretty empty today aside for a few tourist campervans.

As I hiked up a hill on my morning adventure I could hear the gorgeous sound of streams gurgling and flowing once more.

The rain subsided in the middle of the day but the Woods were still very fresh and alive for the afternoon adventure.

The wind today has been quite warm and it looks to continue that way throughout the week, creating slightly humid, but very pleasant hiking conditions.

We of course have some dogs that aren’t the biggest fans of the rain. But for the vast majority after a few minutes of being out in the fresh air they forget all about it and focus on the smells, games and fun to be had.

A quick reminder as always, though I will add that almost everyone today was super good…   Please remember to leave a towel near your entrance door so we can dry off your pups before we let them into your house or flat.
