I love to get up early and normally my body wakes me up just before my alarm rings.
However with the clocks having gone forward yesterday my 5:30 alarm, (basically 4:30 as of two days ago), felt a little brutal.
In the dark, I tiptoed into the kitchen and put on the coffee machine. As I arrived, laden with coffee and mug to my office space, just by the window I noticed that there was snow falling past the street light outside.
It took a minute to register what was happening. I stood back up and saw that the street, cars and trees outside were covered in a few centimeteres of snow.
The smile grew across my face. Personally I had been expecting a rainy start to this Monday, and suddenly the thought of Adventuring in white gold was a reality.
Whilst many of you are happy to see the back of Winter and the snow, I absolutely live for it. As I’ve stated many times previously in this dog blog, snow and access to snow has shaped my life immeasurably.
Without my love of snow I would not have ended up in Norway, and you would not be reading this dog blog.
With warmer temperatures set to arrive even later today it was a matter of Carpe Diem. Just enjoy the moment as much as possible.
And we absolutely did more than just enjoy it. Wonderful Adventures out in the snowy Woods made for a very happy Walker and some very excited dogs.
In my eyes it was the perfect start to Easter week.
