What a month we have had. We end the month with glorious sunshine and up to 22-23C in the woods this afternoon.
April has also seen me complete my April Everest Challenge, and as promised here come the stats (up to 3pm today…. Still more to come this evening)
Steps: 555,795
Distance: 464.6 km
Altitude vertical gain: 10296 metres
As you can see I decided to push on and take on the 10000 vertical metre challenge. It has been actually tougher than imagined to achieve in the relatively low foothills of Oslomarka.
After playing around with Google, whilst drinking my morning coffee, I realised that my journey this month is the equivalent of completing the gruelling Tour du Mont Blanc in the Alps 3 times back to back (but with packs of 5, 6 or 7 happy dogs)…. All the while never leaving Oslo and Oslomarka.
The views might not have been as high, but they were as spectacular! Oslomarka has blossomed and bloomed during April and watching the transformation has been a privilege.
Happy 1st May public holiday tomorrow and therefore Happy Long Weekend!
