Following on from yesterday’s blog regarding the joy of putting Pen to Paper, I was clearing out some files and boxes in my office room early this morning.
Suddenly I came across a transcript which I had written out.
The words actually come from a fantastic YouTube video featuring a young man who goes running in the mountains with his dogs.
The video itself is now quite a few years old but has served as an inspiration to me down the years.
I’ll post the video here if you would like to watch it:
If you don’t feel the need to watch some dogs running happily in beautiful scenery, then here is a summary of what is said in the video: (a manifesto I believe we should all pay attention to)
Happiness is so much simpler than you might think. Real happiness is uncomplicated by the rush of life, how much money you have or don’t have, what you have or haven’t accomplished and is beyond what you feel good or guilty about. It is about our relationships with the earth, nature and each other.
-Always go for a run, even if it is raining
-Enjoy the journey
-Never forget to play
-Feel the joy of life
-Jump for joy when you are happy
-Surround yourself with the people you love
-Live in the moment
-Have boundless energy
-Listen more than you talk, but speak from the heart
-It is never too late to learn
-Look for the best in everyone
-Be loyal
-Love unconditionally
-Shine with all of your light, all of the time
