Our Condolences to Norway

Our most sincere condolences go out to Norway and all Norwegians after the death of King Harald V.

As someone who grew up in London with the British Royal Family, I would like to give my perspective of my adopted King for the last 14 years.

I have previously spoken with friends and customers who knew King Harald V personally from down the years.

I have heard that he was kind, inclusive, smiling and personable. A King who truly cared for his country and his people. Several have told me how he seemed like a Grandfather-esque presence caring for all in Norway.

For many Norwegians it will feel like the death of a close family member. That speaks volumes for how respected and loved he was as a King.

He championed and spoke out for the rights of everyone, especially children. He did not shy away from societal issues which needed addressing.

He will be sorely missed.

Once again we would like to offer our most sincere condolences to Norway and all Norwegians on this sad day.
