A Helping Hand

As so often in life unexpected things happen and plans need changing.

To deny this goes against the very nature of existence and we must always accept that a lot of things will fall outside of our realm of control.

A few days ago whilst out on a Dog Adventure one walker, Alex, slipped and hurt her hand whilst breaking her fall.

These types of slips and falls are certainly not uncommon given our work in wild Nature. Most of the time we just brush ourselves down or end up with a bit of a bruise.

The hand was bandaged up and given a few days to see if it may get better by itself.

Finally, yesterday the Walker decided it was time to get a scan and make sure nothing was broken.

Fortunately nothing was broken but the hand in question still needs a week of rest.

Late yesterday afternoon I was there for suddenly plunged into a game of Dog Tetris, with too many dogs for the amount of Walkers.

I was seriously facing the possibility of last minute cancellations. Yet I am a firm believer that there is always a solution if you think hard enough.

I remembered that our recent team member, Zuzana (who only left us at the end of August), knows all of the dogs, the customers and even the work van.

I reached out with a friendly message and got a positive reply within one minute. Luckily for us she was not working or busy for the rest of the week.

She was super excited to get to see many of her old doggy friends again today, and over the coming days.

Wishing Alex a good speedy recovery and a also a big thank you to Zuzana for helping us out at such short notice.
