Like any good South American dictatorship or African regime, I am the self-appointed El Presidente of Who Let the Dogs Out.
I am clearly much better at hiding my Ferraris and luxury sports cars. I am so good at this that I haven’t ever found them.
Occasionally El Presidente needs to pass emergency measures for the good of dogs and the people.
Today was one such day and early morning I received the news that one of our Walkers had driven over a nail lying in the road and was going to be thoroughly delayed. (I am always amazed how many nails are just lying around on Oslo roads).
Thursdays are already busy days and we had very little scope to organise an extra Walker at such late notice.
We now knew that the tyre would be fixed by the middle of the day, allowing for less disruption than first feared.
I am a firm believer that where there is a will, there is a way. I do not like to cancel walks unnecessarily and let down our dogs.
El Presidente consulted his planning and got on the phone.
We already had some groups where friends would be joining but they were further away.
The presidential decree was issued and we increased the capacity temporarily for today so as everyone would get to adventure. No dog left behind.
Viva el presidente, viva los perros!
