I’m pretty sure you will have noticed but it was rather fresh early this morning.
The forecast had warned of some colder temperatures coming in, and yet I was still slightly surprised to see -14 on the thermometer when I awoke.
A quick check of Yr.no weather app and I was informed it was -11c where I live, “but feels like -19c” with windchill included.
I decided to make a coffee, put on the DEFA car heater for the van and get the kids ready.
By the time that we were on our way to kindergarten the sun was trying its best to come up.
The sky was filled with colour. I started pointing out a few of the colours to my kids and they kept giving me more and more in reply. It was rather splendid.
And here is the thing… in that moment the cold was forgotten. Gone were the thoughts, worries and preconceived ideas of what -14c should be.
And it lasted ….. Once out and about, it was gorgeous today.
Yes we had 5 layers on, yes our hands froze as we were taking the photos below for your benefit, but it was still absolutely gorgeous adventuring in Oslomarka.
