Nature Rebounds

Do not be mistaken, today’s blog is not about Nature frolicking and taking her revenge on an ex partner.

It is a different sort of rebound, more akin to the regenerative power of Nature.

So there I was, starting my afternoon adventure in the middle of a 10 minute mini snowstorm.

I was taking my walk in one of my favourite spots.

Around 18 to 24 months ago the first 300 metres from where I park was savagely deforested. I am not talking about thinning out of the forest but this area was completely cleared of the beautiful and majestic tall trees that had grown there.

I’m pretty sure around that time I wrote a blog detailing my chagrin and feelings about it.

The amazing grandeur of the tree portal into the magical woods had been lost.

You may well think I am exaggerating for literary purpose, but when you live and explore in these woods they truly become a part of you. You witness the rays of sunshine through the thick tree canopy illuminating a multitude of mosses, you hear the birdsong and the streams piercing the silence. You live and breathe the nature.

Anyways back to the title of today’s blog. As I was walking there a smile started to creep across my face. As I looked to my left and I looked to my right I saw an army of fir trees which are already over 1 metre in high.

We have a long way to go but time is a great healer.

Happy weekend
