Never grow up

I think it is fair to say that there were two very distinct ways I could have approached today.

Awakening and drawing back the curtains to find that it had snowed a lot more than expected.

My mind rushed towards all of the tasks that I would have to do in addition to an already busy day whilst solo parenting as my partner is away.

The road outside was still deep in fluffy white snow and I knew instantly that I would need to snowclear both the van and the driveway before heading to work, but after kindergarten drop off.

But my negative spiral stopped right there as I heard my son exclaim with excitement that it had snowed. I looked down to see him bouncing up and down beside me.

Caught up in his excitement I started asking him what we should do with all the snow.

Snowballs, snowman and skiing were blurted out in a frenzy of joy.

I knew that he would be having great fun at kindergarten today. And so i started planning the amazing adventures and where to find amazing snow.

This turned the additional tasks of snow shoveling into a great thing, as it was the key to access the adventures.

No adventures come easy, otherwise they would not be adventures. You are instead rewarded for the hard work and effort you put in.

And what adventures they were.

There are some tired doggies out there heading into the weekend nice and tired!
