Finding the 1%

Life is a game and you have to keep smiling throughout.

Our mission is to adventure and help. But we don’t like to get stuck on autopilot. We need to mix it up to make the game of life as fulfilling as possible.

As a fan of the Team Sky cycling team of yesteryear (now called the Ineos Grenadiers) I used to love hearing about the attention to detail and marginal gains.

It was finding the 1% difference to keep progressing and not stagnate.

This is exactly our ethos. It is not about an overhaul and starting something big, shiny and new. It is about using your knowledge and experience and then building upon it.

Looking at the simple processes which could be improved ever so slightly to make big differences to walks, routines, customers, communications and walkers.

The easiest way to do this is to pick a certain task that you perform daily. Analyse it and right down any ways in which it could be different. Could any of these different ways improve it? Why not try?

It is only through trial and error that we learn. But the marginal gains approach is fascinating and keeps you learning, seeking and improving.
