Guess who is back?

Today we ended the walking week in style.

A little bonus was the return to our walks of my very own dog, Minttu.

It has been over one month since she was able to join me on my adventures, due to firstly being on heat, and then a freak accident whilst at the cabin for 17th May celebrations.

The accident occurred whilst we were out having a family walk and Minttu lost her focus whilst crossing a cattle grid.

As a Sheepdog who was born on a farm I find this slightly ironic.

She has crossed cattle grids hundreds of times with absolutely no issues. But on this one occasion she slipped and her front paws fell down into the kettle grid.

Luckily there was no break or fracture but we were advised to keep her calm for four weeks.

If you have ever tried to keep a sheepdog calm for a couple of hours then you will understand how difficult this challenge was.

I will cut a long story short…. It was fantastic to have my pup back alongside me in the front of the van and to watch her bouncing gleefully through the woods once again.

Tonight the family are returning to the cabin and the cattle grid, where I think I will insist on her using the side gate for the next few months.

Happy weekend
