Black Ice

Unless you have been in bed or curled up on the sofa all day you probably have realised that this morning we received the first black ice of Winter.

At 6:00 this morning, whilst my coffee was brewing, I needed to grab something from the van. I slipped on my trainers and headed outside, where I proceeded to resemble Bambi on ice.

I did my best attempts to skate up and over to my van and then slid downhill as if I were on skis.

By the time it came to the kindergarten run I had found my shoes with amazing grip on them (VJ Spark, if you want to find out more, not sponsored). I felt that ice spikes were slightly overkill for today.

Once in the work van and on my way to pick up doggies for Adventure number 1, it was time to engage four-wheel drive for the first time in quite a while.

Looking out my window as I drove around I could see Oslo residents literally sliding by, some with a smile on their face and some in sheer terror. I can only imagine that Oslo Accident and Emergency has been quite busy today.

Given how hard it was to move around it came as no surprise that the woods were deserted and just for us alone to Adventure.

Few things are more beautiful than a frozen autumn landscape.

So sit back and enjoy a mug of your favourite hot drink whilst checking out some happy doggy photos 👇🏼
