I was out on a date a few weeks ago with a pregnant woman. Well, she is the mother to my two children and therefore it shouldn’t be overly surprising.
The surprising part was being back on a date, as I think our last one was 16 months before.
My partner’s mother had kindly, yet foolishly, agreed to look after the other two rascals.
Given the rareness of the opportunity we did not mind it being a lunch date. We did not want to travel too far so as not to waste precious time either on public transport or in my van.
We had been recommended Nazar Cafe in Sagene. Just a quick side note that I have no affiliation or sponsorship deal with them.
We rocked up and found a table for two and perused the strange combo menu of middle Eastern, snacks, burgers and sushi.
As we waited for our lunch to arrive my partner mentioned that I should maybe recommend this place, if the food was good, to my customers.
Slightly perplexed at the fact that I am not a food critic and this is not a food blog I asked why.
She replied that dogs were welcome and you could have them in the restaurant.
It’s still seemed a little tenuous to bother writing a blog about it.
That was when she showed me the dog menu (annoyingly not on their website) which is available when you bring your canine companion.
Now, had I known I could have romantic meals in a restaurant with Minttu, I think my bank manager would be calling up and asking why I am spending so much money suddenly.
But seriously they have a separate dog menu!
It is quite hard to vouch for how good the menu is as most dogs I know devour anything and everything food wise.
However the concept was enough that I thought I would share it with you.
And what about the human food? Well we already have two great sushi places for takeaway, so we opted for the Middle Eastern.
Wow! Great portion sizes (and I am a big eater). Absolutely delicious with some fantastic spices.
We will definitely return and next time we might take Minttu. (There is also a kids area for them to play, just for your info, but then again sometimes it’s nice to get away from them).
