In between my dog Adventures today I was driving around listening to a new audiobook.
Whilst the audiobook actually is about human psychology, the author was trying to give an example of something.
It is estimated that the human eye is only able to pick up one ten trillionth of the full Spectrum of Light.
Some of you may already know this fact, but it blew my mind.
As someone who explores in the woods and sees the most marvelous spectacles of nature…. to somehow think that the full experience for my eyes could be 10 trillion times bigger started me thinking.
The number is so big I had to Google it. It is a one followed by 13 zeroes….. Or 10000000000000.
I did some more research and found that 10 trillion is more than double the entire GDP of the third largest economy in the world, Germany.
Then I reverted back to my example. If I had one dollar, it would be the same comparison of this against 220% of the entire GDP of Germany.
Just think about that.
Then think about all of the gorgeous sights and things that our eyes are able to witness.
Whilst not specifically dog related I hope that you have been able to contemplate quite how complex and gorgeous nature and life are.
