My one piece of life advice

Over the long Easter weekend I had time to think and reflect…. Oh oh! Watch out!

I was perusing the internet during some downtime, when I suddenly got lost in the expanse of information out there.

It started with a single Instagram reel, as it so often dangerously does. And yet instead of mindlessly scrolling I found myself researching around the topic of today’s blog.

In the short clip the interviewer was asking individuals for their one piecee of life advice.

Of course the answers were numerous and varied.

I proceeded to jump onto Google (other Search Engine platforms are available) and continued my reading.

For those of you old enough to remember the song “Sunscreen” came up as a popular answer in the search results.

Family, connections, relationships, helping others and being kind all get an honourable mention.

However I felt that these options did not really cover advice but moreover what I would call obvious areas of importance and focus.

And so here comes my own one piece of life advice:

“Move in Nature”

Originally it was going to be “Walk in Nature”…. And yet I revised it to encompass all forms of movement whilst immersed in Nature.

Walking, hiking, running, cycling, surfing, skiing, snowboarding or even sitting and meditating as you move on a mental journey surrounded by Nature.

Whatever problem you are aiming to solve, when you need a creative spark, whether happy, sad, energetic or tired….. Go and move in Nature.

After 42.5 years I have not found a greater piece of life advice.

It goes without saying that whenever and wherever possible your movement in nature should be accompanied by your four-legged canine companion 🐾
