For those of you who follow us on Instagram you may well have seen that I put out a screenshot of a section of this article on Saturday.
It makes for fascinating reading, so I’d like to post the full link here: (do not be put off by the newspaper donation pop up, just click the “X” and continue to the article).
I found it slightly ironic that I actually took this screenshot and posted it mid walk with my puppy (Minttu is 6.5 years old, but will always be my puppy). So let me explain why I allowed myself to do so.
I had read the article the previous night, slept on it. Early Saturday morning (I like to get up and out early on Saturdays) I was deep in the woods. Not a soul was around and the sunshine was beaming down. Different birdsongs filled the air and a light breeze was rustling the trees, bushes and grasses as we explored.
I suddenly paused on my walk…. Reflecting on quite how connected to nature I felt in that moment.
The previous night’s article returned to the forefront of my mind and I wanted to share it, to inspire and to raise awareness of the potential modern disconnect and its impact on human psychologically and physically.
There is no better place to play than Nature. But there is also no better place to think and reflect
