In my Prime

I’ve always been fascinated by numbers. I hoover up statistics and love identifying patterns within numbers sequences. Sudoku is also a great pleasure.

I am not full Rain Man but I am certainly good numerically.

As a child I enjoyed writing down the longest numbers I could dream of…and then multiplying or dividing them by an equally long number. Such was entertainment back in the late 1980s at my family home as an only-child.

When I worked in Finance, the boredom of the office setting was often offset by looking over spreadsheets and spotting accounting and trading mistakes and discrepancies.

These days I like to create simple, yet satisfying, spreadsheets where I keep track of dog numbers, walks, etc.

Prime numbers have always been fascinating. They stand out from their counterparts and seem a little awkward, yet self-assured. They refuse to be divided by two, or any other whole numbers, aside from themselves.

I feel like I can identify with them.

So why this talk of Prime numbers? Well, today I turn 43 and I am super happy to be back in my Prime.

I would just like to add that I had the most wonderful birthday today with some fantastic dogs in the most stunning of settings.
