Many moons and or decades ago I remember going on a school outing to a fabulous water park which was just outside of London.
When it was pointed out to the teachers who were organizing the school trip that all trips needed to be educational, they arranged that before we got to the water park we would stop in a town nearby to conduct a geography survey for a token 20 minutes.
Years later I thoroughly admire these teachers for working around the rules so as to make their pupils happy. Some of my friends in other classes went on a much more boring trip that day.
We were riding the water slides, enjoying the wave machine and jacuzzi-like bubbles.
Fast forward about three decades and I suddenly feel like one of those cool teachers who found the Water Park for my students. My students these days have four legs and a tail and are probably easier to control then we were back then.
After the rain storms of the weekend and some pretty wet weather recently, this afternoon I headed to a secret spot where there are copious marshlands.
The area was partially flooded with the rainwater and this made for unbelievable aquatic play, fun and games.
Some of the areas were muddy, others were clean water. The trick is always to end up at a clean water source just before you get back to the van.
This allows the dogs to get as brown and muddy as they wish without there being any worries.
I’ll allow the photos to do the rest of the talking, but it looks like our doggy school trip was a huge success today.
