Yesterday was wet. By wet I mean that my bathroom ressembled a launderette until early this morning with piles of clothes hanging everywhere.
I had swapped shoes after my first walk. This resulted in 2 soaking pairs of shoes for the shoe dryer to fix, working away for nearly 4 hours after work.
It was dive in a swimming pool kind of wet. Where even the best waterproofs can’t help your boxer shorts ending up like a sponge!
But….. After the deluge comes the calm. The sun returned and it felt 100 times better than normal.
You need to experience the rain to enjoy the sunshine.
The vibrant Autumnal colours were back, glistening in the moist conditions.
We were smiling, your dogs were loving the warm and relatively dry conditions as we explored and adventured. What a glorious end to the Walking Week
