A little story from today which made me smile. I hope it is ok that i keep the details slightly vague so as there is no possibility for the person involved to be identified.
One of my Tuesday customers lives near a popular city dog park. As I am picking up and dropping off their dog we often see owners and their pups walking by, on their way to the park for fun and games.
There is some parking nearby, but it is not always possible and certainly less opportunities for the larger vehicles.
So imagine trying to park a full sized Lorry!!!….. Not like a removal van sized lorry, I’m talking full supermarket-stocking articulated lorry. No chance….. Unless he pretends he is in the area to drop off or pick up something.
If he were doing that he would be able to stop alongside this sign:

Then put on his flashing lights and make sure to return within 10 minutes.
Well…… My Lorry driver friend did exactly this…. engine running, hazard lights on, then jumped down from his cab with his Chihuahua and went off for a 10 minute walk to the dog park.
When I returned from dropping my tired dog companion home, drying it and giving it a treat…. the Driver and dog were still roaming and enjoying the fresh air.
