In 1964 Bob Dylan sang “The Times They Are A Changing”.
I have not checked the itinerary for Mr BD in and around ’64, but I would assume he wasn’t singing about Oslomarka.
I think that Robert would be surprised at the huge rate of change out in the woods at the moment.
With a mixture of mist, rain and plus degrees the terrain in which we explore is receding rapidly.
10 days ago Maridalsvannet still looked like a big, open snow field. In some areas now even the ice has disappeared.
Where wind blown snow clusters have accumulated throughout the Winter, the natural contours of the land are being exposed.
Streams and lakes are flowing back to life, having been hidden and locked away since Christmas.
Or as Bob would have sung:

There is a certain privileged feeling in being able to witness this evolution first hand and the change from day to day.
It both goes slow and fast at the same time.
