Moving out of the Red Zone

It’s been a long cold Winter, and so small things and victories must be celebrated.

Today it was the delayed, yet very welcome, reappearance of blue skies and sunshine. We were promised all day, and yet it wasn’t until early afternoon that the fog managed to burn off.

When it did finally disappear it left for the most beautiful scenery.

Even i, who takes over 100 photos a day on the walks had my breath taken away by quite how stunning it was.

Check out some of the photos below and I think you will agree.

You have to have an absence of sunshine so as to truly appreciate it when it returns.

During the long cold Winter the heater on my truck has remained firmly in the red zone.

But not this afternoon! 19th March will be celebrated as entry into the grey zone.

It is symbolic of warmer days to come. A start of Springtime.

Warm enough to go without gloves, but still chilly enough to be grateful to have a beanie hat covering my lack of hair.

I am certain that I am not the only one celebrating this transition.
