Blue skies and sunshine seem like a lifetime ago. Like a story passed down from generation to generation it is a thing of Myth and Saga.
The thick fog and mist have enshrouded Oslo for the last few weeks.
It is actually quite common at this time of year when the snow melts and the temperatures change.
Other seasonal changes include the return from the South of the migratory birds.
In efficient and excellent echelons they navigate the skies with unparalleled precision… Or maybe not!
On my morning Adventure I first heard and then observed a large flock of 50 or so geese trying to find North.
At the moment I observed them they were heading due South, towards the Oslofjord.
Regardless of the fact that they were flying high in the sky, I decided to shout and inform the flock that they were going the wrong way.
Either they don’t understand English, they couldn’t hear me or that they just didn’t care, they ignored my shouts and warning.
Like a good father I decided that they needed to find out from their own mistakes to become independent. Darwinian Theory.
Well, well, well, 5 minutes later and I observed the same flock now having circled around and flying northwards.
Sometimes we need a helping hand with which direction to go…. and sometimes we just need a little time.
