A much needed Shower

This is actually not a blogpost about a particularly muddy dog, nor a blog about my personal hygiene.

The shower is referring to the rain shower that Oslo got overnight and early this morning.

It was very welcome for dogs, walkers and mostly Nature. Oslomarka is very dry at the moment, following a cold Winter where we actually didn’t have that much snow depth. This has resulted in streams already drying up in May and lakes and rivers at low levels.

By the time we got out adventuring the rains had mostly stopped. Ironically we were clad in waterproofs and many of your dogs in jackets as it was forecast that rain could and would come at any moment.

In the end there was very little rain throughout the day, culminating in glorious sunshine this afternoon…. making it feel like my legs were being slowly cooked in my waterproofs until I got back to the van.

Apart from this coming Saturday, it now looks like we are in for 9 days of sunshine.
