Raincoats at the Ready

A gorgeously fresh and moist start to the Walking Week today.

The forecast told us that there would be on-off rain showers throughout the day and to prepare as such. They were not wrong!

Some of your dogs enjoy their rain jackets whereas others, like mine, really hate having them on.

Over the years, and over countless Adventures, we get to identify those who will be more comfortable with a waterproof jacket and those who would actually just prefer a good towelling when they get home.

Myself, I completely understand the dogs that prefer not to don rainwear. I will put on my waterproof jacket if it is heavy or torrential rain, otherwise I’m quite happy to just dry out post-walk in the van and then change when I get home.

Ironically however I almost always wear waterproof trousers as the feeling of wet trousers clinging to my legs is rather unpleasant. Top half, a hoodie and baseball cap suffices in most rain showers.

Another added benefit of today’s rain was that my truck is starting to look white again, having lost it’s yellow pollen tinge from the last few weeks.

As always, at the start of what could be a rainy week, please ensure that you leave a good sized towel near your entrance door. Help us to help you keep your dogs warm and clean.
