Take a few dry weeks, add a good bit of rainfall in the last few days… and then bring the sunshine back out and voila! You have the perfect cocktail for mosquitoes to thrive.
Not just a few of them but swarms of them.
I’m not such a fan of coating my skin in chemicals, and therefore I resort to wearing a thick hoodie to prevent a good deal of the bites.
But some get through, and the moment you roll up your sleeves due to the warm weather, your arms become an easy target.
After so many years it is more of a mild irritation than an annoyance.
Some of your dogs seem to be more affected by it than others. Clearly mosquitoes have favourite breeds and certain tastes.
I must taste like a luxury All You Can Eat buffet given the queue of mosquitoes lining up to dine on me.
At least they have good taste!
