Fantastically Cool

I am certainly not going to whinge about the warm weather of late, but with 28C forecast this afternoon up in Oslomarka, it felt like it would be a hot end to the Walking Week.

However when I took my puppy (she is 7.5 years old, but will always be my puppy) out for our early morning walk in just a T-shirt I noticed that it was beautifully cool, even a little chilly. After the recent heat I did not mind this at all and made the most of the cooling effect.

Whilst it did warm up, there was quite a lot of cloud cover throughout today on our Adventures to allow us to not overheat. It was rather pleasant weather for exploring.

I had moved many of the walks forward so as to avoid potential heat hazards and uncomfortable conditions for the dogs….. Little did I know that the weather gods would even deliver a few light rain showers.

Warm drizzling rain and a gentle breeze made for the perfect backdrop. It also lessens the risk of forest fires during these hot days.

As a side note tonight sees the most anticipated of the Football World Cup group games…. Norway vs France.

For me personally it is a win-win situation….. My chosen home and country playing against the land of my Mother.

I will be supporting both sides and therefore hope for a fantastic match. Yet having seen quite how much Norway and Norwegians are relishing this World Cup I wish them every luck in this game and further into the competition.

I will however add that if they come up against England then my rivalry might have to be slightly more pronounced.

Happy weekend! 🇧🇻🇨🇵
