Blast from the Past!

The longer that I reside in Oslo, the more I criss cross with people I know on a daily basis.

I find that I am constantly waving from the work truck to old acquaintances, friends, neighbours, customers and even randoms who I just wave to regularly.

Luckily my old truck is quite distinctive both by sight and also by noise as it approaches. This means that others will see me from afar and start waving.

Sometimes I don’t see them, a lot of the time I do.

Today in the middle of the day I saw a young lady waving at me as I drove down a little Majorstuen side street.

It took me 2 seconds, as I was used to seeing her in hiking / outdoors gear, and here she was in civilian dress 👗

I was very happy to cross paths with our old Team member, Hulda!

Luckily there was no traffic behind me, as I braked and reversed up the road to chat.

I lent through the window and gave her a MASSIVE hug. It had been too long….. And yet she had crossed my mind no more than a few days ago.

Hulda is now studying in Tromsø and will head northwards tomorrow…. So it was amazing timing to see her again after 18 months.

We agreed that next time she is back down in Oslo we will head out together for a dog adventure! 🐾
