Today’s Simple Pleasure is quite fitting given the weather.
I love the rain. I have no problems hiking for hours as it rains down, becoming happily drenched in search of Adventures.
I grew up in London, so rain is in my DNA.
However after you have been out all day in wet, soaking conditions….. Comes one of Life’s Simple Pleasures
Simple Pleasure number 7 – Changing into dry socks when you get home
On days like today you require an almost total wardrobe change upon returning home after the rain deluge.
But the clothing item which gives me the biggest joy to change…… My socks!
Something about your feet drying out and warming up is a total psychological shift.
It is akin to sitting in front of a roaring fire. The rest of your clothes can still be wet, but those new, fresh, dry and comfy socks can’t help but bring a big smile to your face!
