The number 42 is especially significant to fans of science fiction novelist Douglas Adams’ “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” because that number is the answer given by a supercomputer to “the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.”
As a fan of the number 7, the number 42 fits nicely. It brings with it a sense of control and happiness….
As a keen runner in my spare time it is also associated with the mythical Marathon (though never write off those last 200 or so metres, for there are where all your emotions come out at once.
So why all this talk of 42?
Simply put, today marks the completion of my 42nd trip around the Sun.
42, you have a lot to live up to, so let’s get adventuring!
