Many of you will have experienced first hand that I love bumping into and meeting customers.
I have previously written on the topic of Small talk and also how I believe positive communication helps develop a better Society to live in.
I also love running which might seem like a strange thing to throw into the mix.
However on Saturday I managed to combine running with a fantastic opportunity to both catch up with a client and also be an unofficial tour guide in some beautiful scenery up in Oslomarka.
As Josh has a young daughter, and I have young kids we agreed we were not going for the podium.
Quick sidenote to say congratulations to Espen (son of Ronja’s owners) on his amazing third place overall finish in the same race. Chapeau as the French would say.
The race itself must have seemed like an eternity for poor Josh who was spoken at for the entirety of the 17 kilometres.
Being a fellow Brit, Josh was extremely polite despite trying to say I could run on, on several occasions.
I don’t leave dogs behind in the woods and I won’t leave a stranded British father out in the wild.
We raced up hills, across marshes and bogs, clambered up slippery stones and took in breathtaking views from high up.
I thoroughly recommend the race to anyone who enjoys both running and nature.
So in summary for those of you who have not yet experienced a customer meeting with me….. Whether at home, park, woods or hills….. Get ready for a good chat no matter the tempo!
