Back to the Schoolyard

I have previously spoken of how I give nicknames to all of my favourite walking spots.

Today I was back in the Schoolyard for only the second time since it was brutally ravaged by the forest machines in search of timber earlier this year.

The first 100 or 200 metres are still devoid of trees. The schoolyard entrance, or gates as you might put it, have turned into the Sports fields.

Luckily your dogs seem to love the sports fields as much as the thick gorgeous forest that stood here before.

After crossing the playing fields we arrived back in familiar territory as we enter the thick lush vegetation of the Schoolyard.

One ironic benefit of less people now using this tiny corner of paradise is that it is less muddy than it used to be.

The Schoolyard is named as such because it has a little of everything for everyone. I had a few older dogs with me as we returned, and they enjoyed the beautiful forest trails that criss-cross the area.

For the more energetic pups they were running full speed and bouncing up and down the numerous mini hills and undulations.

Class is over, time to hit up the Schoolyard for fun and games!
