Maridalen is one of my favourite places to explore….. in the World! That is no exaggeration.
The Valley has a little of everything; river walks, the lake, rolling hills to run in, enchanted woodlands, even steep hills where I have ski toured when the conditions allow.
Combine the terrain with the array of animals and it is a little El Dorado.
Bearing in mind quite how wonderful it is, it should not be overly surprising that we had 4 large dog gangs out exploring the valley this afternoon, all within a couple of kilometres of each other.
Normally we coordinate so as to give each other a bit of room, but today Greveveien clearly was the place to be. Everyone had the same thought, everyone had great adventures, and amusingly we didn’t bump into one another. Such is the extent of small trails meandering through the landscape.
Having finished my afternoon Dog Adventure I was driving back when I spotted the first van. 1 km further down the road there was another. And as I headed back down towards the lake I met the final van flashing its lights and waving happily at me as they were about to embark on their Adventure.
Seems like it might be time to head out and find some new paths in Maridalen once again!
