In our industry weather forecasts are pretty important.
Clearly they cannot be taken literally, but we use them as a guideline to help us prepare best for the Adventures and ensure your dogs will have fun.
It can help us judge the snow conditions, or how wet or cold it might be.
Late last week when checking the forecast I could see that there was no snow for the coming 10 days.
“That’s a bit of a shame” I thought to myself and yet it would be cold enough to maintain the snow which we already had.
Imagine therefore my excitement that for the last five days in a row, when no snow has been forecast whatsoever, we have received a decent amount each and every day.
Sometimes the snow has come over the whole of Oslo, sometimes it has been super localized and only in several specific areas.
Much like compound interest, it is not about how much you get each time but that you are consistently topping up.
Certain areas of Oslomarka now have a pretty good covering. As would be expected, the further you venture in, the deeper and better it gets.
And so whilst there is no snow forecast for the coming ten days,I feel pretty confident that we will get a good bit bonus snow more.
