The slush and heavy snow is back, just in time for the Weekend.

Warmer temperatures, even at night, are meaning “the great melt” has very much started.

You’ll be walking along a path on trampled snow when suddenly your foot vanishes down a hole, with your shoe filling with quite cold water.

To avoid these slush-related problems I decided to go for the “Scandi Farmer look”. It is a simple combination of Wellington Boots (gummistøvler) with some slip-on ice crampons firmly attached under the sole.

With almost knee-high boots it is unlikely that your feet and socks will get wet, whilst the slip-on crampons give you excellent grip to be able to scale the uphills and manage downhills with the pups like a pro mountain guide.

It is a sexy look, so much so that I had to hide deep in the woods, so as to not have to fend off all potential admirers.
