If you are as brilliantly young as I am you might be able to stretch your memory back in time to the 1990s.
Mark Morrison, British RnB artist sang the song of almost the same name as the title of today’s blog in 1996. A mere 30 years ago….. That certainly doesn’t make me feel old 🤔🙄
He actually penned the song whilst serving time in Welford Road Prison. Anyways we will move on….
The ‘Mac to which I refer today is TarMac!
It would seem that over the course of the weekend the tarmac has returned to Oslo city centre’s streets.
Up in the hilly suburbs and wooded areas of Oslomarka ice and snow are very present. Down in Oslo normal footwear is making a comeback to the streets. The fashionistas will be happy.
But higher up, the mountain boots, spikes and crampons are ever present. It makes for a double season feeling, a greater divide and chasm between Urban and Nature.
Each journey up to Oslomarka feels more like heading off into the Mountains, a getaway, a secret retreat that very few know about.
And so off on Adventures we head, to our enchanted Wintery woodland settings.
