Summer in the City

There was a very Summery feeling to Oslo today.

As the longest day (in terms of daylight) approaches and schools are about to shut for the holidays, Oslo is bathed in sunshine.

Parks and grassy areas have a throng of sunbathers soaking it all in, and cafés and restaurants with outdoor seating are packed. Even Estate Agents have put deckchairs outside some of their offices to make the most of the conditions.

The weather has also caused an increase of cyclists, running and rollerski “athletes” up nearer the woods.

And yet Oslomarka is surprisingly empty. I love exploring in the cooler shade of a thick woodland with the dogs, happy to shelter from the sun’s rays. Then again, I work outside and don’t feel the need to top up on sunshine vibes.

Your dogs are also appreciating the shade, streams, ponds and pools which we find. The good news (for your dogs at least) is that the 21 day forecast shows that it shouldn’t get much hotter than 22-24C up in Oslomarka.

This allows them to not use up needless energy in remaining cool and that they can focus on good Adventures instead!
